Verdict:
(+) Leonardo DiCaprio's performance as Jordan Belfort has been labeled the best of his career by many. And I tend to agree with that statement. Every other supporting actor or actress also deliver fantastic performances, with Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie being two of the standouts.
(+) What makes this biography such a distinctive one is how energetic and wild its tone is. This choice was obviously made to match Jordan's personality and addiction to drugs, alcohol and most of all, money.
(+) The editing is for the most part exemplary. You barely feel the runtime of nearly 3 hours.
(+) One of Martin Scorsese's strengths is turning stories about despicable characters such as Jake LaMotta or Travis Bickle into fascinating character studies. "The Wolf of Wall Street" is no exception.
(+) It's downright hilarious at times. One of the legendary's most entertaining movies for sure and one I'm still struggling to believe he made at the age of 71.
(-) Some minor editing mistakes that I only notices on about my third viewing.
(-) The final act slows down in term of pacing, which sort of makes sense considering Jordan's arc. But it did make the narrative drag a bit at times.

FINAL GRADE: 8/10
