Verdict: This is it folks, Cinema as an art form has peaked. Forget about "Aliens", "Terminator 2", "Before Sunset", or "Shrek 2", the sequel everyone should be talking about is "The Angry Birds Movie 2", the follow-up of the masterfully crafted "Angry Birds Movie" that came out back in 2016, an eternity ago.
To be perfectly honest, I had my doubts going in to watch the movie. I mean, how can you top a movie that's perfect in every way? But all these doubts completely flew away as soon as Bonnie Tyler's "Holding Out for a Hero" started playing in the opening scene. Because, and Hollywood executives please take notes, this is how you improve on perfection. This is how you appeal to the kids of today. This is how you keep an audience both entertained and meditative at the same time: by making the soundtrack one that would've been relevant about 10 to 15 years ago. Bonnie Tyler's sensational tune may have been already used in the "Shrek" franchise so I completely understand you if your question right now is "How is this original if it's been done before?" and to that I answer: "Holding Out for a Hero" is only the tip of a the gigantic iceberg that's about to hit you. Trust me when I tell you that "The Angry Birds Movie 2" is going to win every single Oscar next year, including the Award for Best Foreign Film, because the film is truly out of this world. In fact, the only issue I have with it is the fact that it's not 7 hours long, but has a runtime of only 96 minutes. Watch it and thank me later, this movie will absolutely change your life.
PS: On a more serious note, the film is yet another boring and annoying kids movie made by middle-aged people who are trying way too hard to be as hip as possible. But you probably already knew that.
