Verdict: Zack Snyder returned to direct his third DCEU film after "Man of Steel" and "Batman v. Superman". Well, kind of. As you probably know, Snyder had to leave the project mid-production due to a family tragedy, and was replaced by the man who gave us both Avengers movies: Joss Whedon. Makes sense since the Justice League is DC's equivalent of Marvel's Avengers, right? False. Whedon's style, as seen in many of his previous projects, including the Avengers, is light and comedic, the exact opposite of Snyder's approach, which is famously dark and gritty. This resulted in "Justice League" being a heterogeneous mess, with both directors' visions clearly clashing in an ugly way. Another issue I had with the film is one I had with another installment in the franchise, "Batman v. Superman", and is the fact that the script felt incredibly rushed. 3 out of the 5 main characters (Aquaman, the Flash and Cyborg) never appeared, or only had cameos, in the previous 4 installments, and the writers tried to give each one of them an arc in the first 30 minutes of the movie, which only left them 90 minutes to assemble the league, work on their chemistry, and fight the main villain. An impossible task that could've been prevented had they took their time, and released a couple of other movies before this one. Other than that, there were some interesting shots and music choices, the acting was okay most of the time, but, just like the script, the CGI felt very rushed and all over the place. I'm really rooting for the DCEU to work, but unfortunately this is not going to happen if they keep making the same mistakes.

Final Grade: 4/10
